Maxwell Canyon Spring Water Quality
May 19, 2025
Dear Valued Customers,
We want to address recent changes in the taste of the Maxwell Canyon Spring water. Our water team recently discovered tree roots growing in the water diversion box that supplies spring water to portions of our system, including the community fill stations in Maxwell Park. To ensure your continued safety, we took immediate action to:
- Remove the tree roots from the diversion box
- Disinfect the entire Spring Water line with low dosages of chlorine as required by state and federal safety requirements
- Thoroughly flushed the Maxwell Spring Water system to remove any remaining chlorine tastes and odors
The water has been tested and is safe to drink. You may notice a slight chlorine taste temporarily as a result of the disinfection process. This is normal and will dissipate within one or two days as fresh spring water circulates through the system.
We take pride in providing our community with natural spring water and are committed to maintaining its quality and safety. Regular testing and maintenance will continue to ensure our water meets or exceeds all safe drinking requirements.
